Why should Jesus' trial captivate us?

When we examine the situation surrounding Jesus’ trial, by all accounts it seems his life was spiraling out of control. But is that really the case? Was Jesus’ trial and crucifixion something He didn’t have any control over? That’s why things seem so difficult to us - we can’t control things. But is that true in Jesus’ case? Was He facing a situation He couldn’t control? Was Jesus, the Son of God, impotent before the angry mob and the powerful Romans? Did the Father decide to use Jesus’ death as a means of our salvation because He had no other choice? Or was something else at play? Find out this week.
