Welcome to Eastridge Kids!

More than anything else, we want to make sure that each child who walks through our doors is given every opportunity to come to know our Savior better. Our desire and plan are to come alongside parents, family, and caregivers as we encourage and teach our children about Jesus.

Eastridge's Kids ministry is committed to providing babies through fifth-grade kids an age-appropriate environment where your child is learning about God through FUN and CREATIVE ways! Our goal is to lead kids to know Jesus and learn to share His love.

We’re all about FUN, but more importantly, we’re all about SAFETY. Explore our safety section below for more details about how we keep your children safe every week.

If you have any questions, we’d be happy to hear from you! Please contact us through the form below!

We have an awesome team ready for kids of every age!

Sunday Morning - Kids 4Him

We have designed a number of activities to engage your children with the gospel and biblical teaching on Sunday morning. Their worship experience will begin at check-in where trained volunteers will receive your children into our secure children's area. You can rest assured that your children are safe as you engage in the worship service and in Sunday School small groups.

While you enjoy weekend service, it is our goal to provide personal care in a safe and nurturing environment. Our nursery will host your younger children for the entirety of the Sunday Morning worship experience where they will learn fun songs, hear stories from the Bible and participate in age appropriate art and games. They will be learning and making new friends while you as a parent have peace of mind when entrusting your baby into our care. If you would like to tour the facilities prior to dropping your little one-off for the first time, we would be happy to show you around. Just ask at check-in and we will connect you with a friendly volunteer.

Our Nursery rooms have been divided according to monthly ages in order to ensure we are able to provide the specialized attention your baby deserves.

Babies: 0-9 months
Crawlers: 10-15 months
Toddlers: 16-29 months

We know most families have specific items they would like for us to use for their children. While we will provide diapers, wipes, and snacks, we also know most families have specific brands they prefer over others or have a child with an allergy. Please feel free to bring a diaper bag along with you to check-in with those items. We will store them in your child's class throughout the service and return them to you at checkout.

Check-in Location: First Floor of the Family Activities Center.

Preschool is the beginning of colorful interactive learning for your child. While with us they will sing, hear a fun and lively Bible message, interact with dedicated leaders, and participate in interesting crafts projects.

As curiosity remains at the forefront of their minds, it is our job to creatively communicate the meaning and love of Jesus at a level in which they can begin to understand and relate.

Preschool classes are divided according to ages:
Class 1: 2.5 years - 3 years
Class 2: 3 years - 4 years (must be potty-trained to enter into Class 2)
Class 3: 4 years - 5 years
Class 4: 5 years – TK

Check-in Location: First Floor of the Family Activities Center.

We have found that our elementary kids like to have LOTS OF FUN. That’s why we have intentionally crafted our programming to be highly energetic and relational during this life stage.

Our goal is to help kids grow and know God at a deeper and more personal level during this time. Our avenues of communication are through Bible stories, upbeat worship, icebreaker games, and small group time.

While they make new friends and learn more about Jesus, it is our hope that they might become fully committed disciples of Christ.

Sunday Evening

Awana Clubs

We have chosen Awana clubs as our program of choice for Sunday Evenings. AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love, and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

As children enter into the pivotal elementary years, our Elementary curriculum ensures that kids are not only knowledgeable of God's Word but are able to apply His truth to their lives and face anything as disciples of Christ.

  • Cubbies | 3 yrs (must be potty trained) – Pre-K
  • Sparks | Kinder-2nd
  • T&T | 3rd-5th

Curriculum

  • Your Own Book - Each child will be provided their own book by the church.
  • Consecutive Lessons - Each lesson is related to the previous so the children become familiar with the storyline and the characters that they are learning about. However, if you are not able to attend each Sunday night, your child will be fine since each lesson is independent.
  • Age-Appropriate - While the curriculum is similar in focus, each class will have its own curriculum specifically designed for your child's age.

Event

  • Make new friends - Awana's is a great opportunity for your child to make new friends in a fun environment as they learn about Jesus.
  • Classes are highly participatory - Your child will not just sit and listen. They will also talk, interact, learn Scripture, play fun games, and do a cool craft.
  • Snacks - We will offer your child a snack. If your child has a food allergy, please let us know so we can document it and provide an alternative for them.
  • Open to all children - Whether handicapped or not, we have volunteers ready to care for your child's needs.

If you would like to tour the facilities prior to dropping your little one-off for the first time, we would be happy to show you around. Just ask at check-in and we will connect you with a friendly volunteer.

Toddlers: 16-29 months
Pre-K: 30 months - Pre-K

Check-in Location: First Floor of the Family Activities Center.

On Wednesday nights, we have a children's breakout. Those in K-2nd will break out to the children's area upstairs where they will talk about what they learned on Sunday, participate in a short lesson that is designed to build on the lesson from Sunday morning, and play games with their friends. This is a great mid-week recharge for your children.

Check-in Location: First Floor of the Family Activities Center.

On Wednesday nights, we have a children's breakout. Those in 3rd-5th will break out to the Pit Stop room. This space is specifically designed to engage this age group and includes several game areas, including foosball and air hockey.

The Pit Stop kids will have time to hang out and play games with their friends before lesson time. During the lesson, they will discuss what the Bible says about the challenges they face each day.

Check-in Location: First Floor of the Family Activities Center.

Safety

At Eastridge Baptist Church, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of your children. Every child is checked-in and out of our secure Children's wing at the Children's check-in window located on the first floor of the Family Activities Center.

For security purposes and in order to streamline the process, we’ve chosen KidCheck as our children’s check-in solution. It not only provides you the best check-in experience but it also allows us to partner with you to keep your children safe.

If you haven’t already created your free account, please do so by going to go.kidcheck.com, selecting “Create Your KidCheck Account,” and following the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, you can download the KidCheck Mobile Check-In app from the App Store or Google Play Store to create, manage, and update your account right on your phone (does not complete check-in).

You can create your account from the comfort of home; it’s simple and will only take a few minutes. Creating your account prior to the above date helps us have a smooth transition and helps your first check-in go more quickly so you can get on your way.

I'm new to KidCheck! What do I need to know?

Should parents set up one combined account or a separate account for each parent?

In KidCheck, each parent/guardian has there own account linked with their phone number. In a typical family setup, one parent will create a login account (account with a username and password), add their children, then add their spouse as an Authorized Guardian. This creates a Guardian Account for the second parent which can be used to check-in/out the children (and can also later be expanded to include a username and password).

Additionally, the parent initially creating the account may add other Authorized Guardians such as grandparents, family friends, or trusted neighbors. If appropriate, they can also include anyone that is not authorized. They should also upload photos to increase the level of security. When contact information and guardianship differs within the family unit, setting up separate login accounts for each guardian is the best option. This allows each guardian to list the children, their associated authorized guardians, use their own phone number to check-in and have the ability to manage and update their own personal information.

What is the difference between Guardian Accounts and Login Accounts?

Parents/guardians need a KidCheck account to securely check their children into your facility. There are two types of KidCheck accounts:

(1) A KidCheck Login Account

This an account created online via go.kidcheck.com or via the mobile app; it includes a username and password. It allows parents to actively manage their account information including photos, children information, allergy or medical info, authorized/unauthorized guardians, and their preferences (e.g. text messaging capabilities). Once they have created a login account, they have the ability to securely access, manage and change their information at any time from any computer, smartphone, or tablet.

KidCheck recommends parents/guardians create a login account prior to checking in children for the first time. This will ensure a quick and easy first check-in by simply requiring their 10 digit phone number at the check-in station.

(2) A KidCheck Guardian Account

This is an account created from a check-in station that does not has a username and password. When a parent/guardian creates their account at a check-in station the first time they check-in, it will ask basic information about the children (name, birth date, sex, allergies) but will not allow the upload of photos or guardian management. KidCheck will automatically send an email to them requesting that they complete their account from home to provide the benefits of a full login account (with a username and password).

How does the Check-In PIN feature work?

If a guardian desires to add an extra layer of security to their account, they have the option of setting up a 4-digit check-in PIN. When added to their account, the PIN will be required at the time of check-in for their account to be used.

KidCheck is designed to be a secure system even without the use of a check-in PIN, though some guardians may like the extra peace-of-mind a PIN provides.

A PIN can be established in the "Check-In PIN" tab on the guardian's check-in screen profile, or from the Preferences area if they log into their account from home. An administrator can help a guardian reset their PIN by looking the guardian up under the People tab, and clicking the "Disable PIN" link.

Why does KidCheck use a phone number as the check-in identifier?

The 10 digit phone number is the shortest, yet completely unique personal identifier, and therefore fast and easy to use for check-in. Using something like ‘last name’ would make for a time-consuming and confusing check-in experience by having to sort through multiple records of people with common names.

KidCheck also offers an optional Check-In PIN providing an additional layer of security for those interested. Parents and guardians have the option to create and use a unique PIN at check-in, along with their 10 digit phone number.
